This was yet another memorable hike with incredible views the entire way. The Ptarmigan Tunnel trail is demanding, especially if you want to go through the tunnel.Esta foi outra caminhada inesquecível com vistas incríveis por todo o caminho. Glacier National Park gets its name from the several glaciers in the park. Presently there are 25 named glacier and all shrinking in size. There are also over 130 named lakes and over 700 miles of hiking trails. The park encompasses 1,583 square miles, and together with Canada's Waterton Lakes National Park it is known as the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park, a World Heritage Site since 1995. Large mammals such as the grizzly, moose, and mountain goat, as well as rare or endangered species like the wolverine and Canadian lynx, inhabit the park. O Parque Nacional de Glacier recebe este nome devido às várias geleiras no parque. Atualmente existem 25 geleiras e todas estão encolhendo de tamanho. Há também mais de 130 lagos e mais de 1.125 quilômetros de trilhas.
